Alan Shirley

Allan is a struggling musician in a near future world. He teaches music as his day job, lives in a shitty flat and dreams of playing music for living.

He's a bit of a rice stick, isn't he? Around 175cm tall, awfully skinny and tired looking man approaching his thirties. He looks very young, maybe to be barely twenty with an uneven haircut and freckly pale skin. He has a bit of a gaunt look about him, definitely not a friendly face. In fact he looks a bit like a jackass, his features sharp and arrogant. But he strikes a beautiful figure when he feels confident enough to pose.

He has a tattoo on his back, a crescent moon, pregnant belly down, drops of water spilling to the next crescent moon shape below. It's an old tattoo and holds power, both marking him and giving him power over Avalon.

Music, music and music. He's classically taught and inspired. English language and expressing himself through it. Teaching.

Very old fashioned magic. He was taught in the old ways to worship the mother goddess and he has a connection to the land and magic in it. He doesn't really practice but it manifests itself in unwanted visions and seeing beyond the veil. He can, if he wishes, command elements and create charms. He's a full fledged priestess in a sense but definitely not eager to practice these skills.

Allan was born into a family line that has been upholding the traditions of the Avalon for centuries and centuries. The traditions were usually passed on to the daughters and they were initiated into the worship of mother goddess, becoming priestesses of Avalon.

However, then came the generation of Allan and no daughters were born. In fact he's the only one who was born at all. He has a small army of aunts and a single mother. They had been getting desperate and finally managed to produce one full term baby through magical help: Allan. Baffled at first that he would dare to born with male physique, they didn't know what to do with him.

Later on, though, they started to teach him as if he were one of the ladies.

The deal his ancestors made with the Sidhe might come to haunt him later, though.

He is classically taught in music and went to school to study music. It's his job now, teaching. However, he still dreams of the possibility to become a full time musician.
